Thanks to LHHS students for A Day of Service

The Lake Havasu High School National Honor Society organized A Day of Service on March 14th where nearly 1000 Lake Havasu High School students worked on service projects in the community. Students worked at the school itself renovating the cross-country course, painting the bleachers, working on the landscaping, creating care packages for battered women's shelters, and writing letters to Sandy Hook. Off campus groups worked on beach clean-up, elementary school field days, placing benches and plants on the island, visiting assisted living homes, and renovations to Havasu for Youth's Fusion Teen Center. On this single day, LHHS students made a variety of improvements across the community. Day of Service adheres to the ideal that while someone may not be able to do everything, everyone can do something.
