Lake Havasu High DECA students win medals at 2011 regionals
Twenty-one Lake Havasu High School Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) members recently joined over 900 students from other Arizona high schools at the annual regional DECA competition in Phoenix, Arizona. During team and individual events, the students must take an exam and role play. Eleven of our students won medals at the competition.
Deca prepares future leaders by developing skills in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
Left to right they are: Tanner (2nd place silver test and 3rd place bronze overall), Sami (2nd place silver test and 3rd place overall), Yann (3rd place bronze test), Jessica (top ten medalist), Kyle (2nd place silver overall), Lindsey (3rd place bronze test and top ten medalist), Justin (top ten medalist), James (top ten medalist), Lowell (3rd place bronze test), and Bailey (3rd place bronze test). These medal winners will be advancing to State Competition in March. Wish them well!
