LHHS students finish A.S.U. Barrett Summer Scholar program

Five Lake Havasu High School students recently completed the special, two week Barrett Summer Scholar program at Arizona State University. The program is offered to gifted and/or high-achieving students who completed 9th grade in the 2012-13 school year. The ASU website says:

The Barrett Summer Scholars program builds student capacity for enrollment and success at Arizona State University (ASU). The BSS residential program provides a unique opportunity for these students to experience residential life as well as engage in pursuing their intellectual curiosity while interacting with like-minded students who share their interests and abilities. Participants are enrolled in a variety of intensive-study courses, taught by Arizona State University instructors, while covering subject matter not typically presented at their grade level.

Successful students look for new ways to challenge themselves. We congratulate (pictured below, l-r) Jane, Conner, Hunter, Courtney, and Makenzie for their participation in the Barrett Summer Scholar program.
