The Lake Havasu High School football program won $2,500 in an online contest sponsored by State Farm Insurance. Video of an exceptional LHHS football play was posted to the website fridaynightfeats.com. People visiting the website could vote for the various videos posted there. The LHHS video received 1288 votes, giving it the most votes of all videos from the Great Western Division which includes Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming. The submitted Lake Havasu High School football video was not selected as one of the 10 finalists eligible for more prize money.

Local State Farm agent Deborah Miller turned over the check for $2,500 during half-time of the home football game on October 28. We thank State Farm for making this opportunity possible, High School parent Swan Cooke for posting the video, and all those who voted for us. -10/28/2011
