Lake Havasu High School JV and Varsity Spirit Lines deserve a cheer

Lake Havasu High School Varsity and Junior Varsity SpiritLine members attended a cheerleading camp at Northern Arizona University this past July 25-28. The girls worked on team bonding, leadership, stunting, dance, and cheer techniques. They also worked on new routines in preparation for the SpiritLine season which goes from May (tryouts) to March (state and national competitions). On the last day of camp, a final competition was held for all participants, and our ladies did very well.

Our varsity team was named Top Performance Team. The junior varsity team was named Top Game Day Team and also won Champion Chant honors. After special tryouts which tested stunting, jumps, tumbling, and motion technique skills; varsity team members Jackie, Taylor, and Stephanie, plus junior varsity member Celeste were named to the National Cheerleaders Association All-American Team.

Finally, out of 200 competitors, our own Jackie was one of only two to receive an Individual Leadership Award. Thank you, SpiritLine members. Your school and your community are proud of you.
