Nautilus Elementary named Blue Ribbon School
Nautilus Elementary School has been named a "2011 National Blue Ribbon School." A press release issued September 15 by the U.S. Department of Education said that 305 U.S. schools (256 public and 49 private) were chosen for this honor. Only four of them are from Arizona.
The Blue Ribbon School Award for Nautilus Elementary was formally presented to former Nautilus principal Shaun Goodwin and current Nautilus academic coach Lois Miller at a conference and awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on November 14th and 15th of 2011.
Lake Havasu Unified's Jamaica Elementary School was named a Blue Ribbon School in 2010.
