LHHS web design team wins gold at SkillsUSA Nationals

David and Robert, web design winners.
David and Robert work on a website.

Lake Havasu High School web design students David and Robert won gold medals at the SkillsUSA National Championships held June 26, 2012 in Kansas City. David and Robert qualified for the national competition after winning gold in both the Arizona regional and state SkillsUSA web design contests.

Web design is a team competition, and Robert and David worked together against 29 other web design teams from all around the country. Teams were given a website design challenge and 8 hours to complete it. Judges evaluated the designs and picked gold, silver, and bronze medal winners. David and Robert's Lake Havasu High School web design teacher Steve Paluch was there, but could not assist them during the competition. He could just watch and hope their training and talent were sufficient. They were. See their winning website design.

Congratulations to David, Robert, and Mr. Paluch. You guys are amazing. And thank you to the Western Arizona Vocational Education Joint Technical Education District (WAVE JTED) and our tax credit contributors who support career and technical education and SkillsUSA programs at our high school.
