LHHS teacher Festa-Daigle receives national award

Lake Havasu High School civics/political science teacher Jaime Festa-Daigle is one of three high school teachers in the country to receive the 2012 American Civic Education Teacher Award. The award is sponsored by the Center for Civic Education, the Center on Congress at Indiana University, and the National Education Association to recognize teachers who have "demonstrated exceptional expertise, dynamism and creativity in motivating students to learn about the Constitution, Congress and public policy." In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Festa-Daigle sponsors Lake Havasu High School's "We the People" organization, a student organization that promotes knowledge of government and the Constitution. We the People is eligible for tax credit contributions. Congratulations to Ms. Festa-Daigle.
